This vintage statue / figurine is very unique. It is an eagle with her eaglet is inside of her. One of the reasons why this hand carved statue is special, is that it is made up of only ONE PIECE! The artist has carefully and skillfully hand carved this eagle revealing her unborn eaglet inside of her.

The mother eagle with her unborn baby inside of her represents, fertility. Since the bald eagle is believed by some Native American tribes to carry messages directly to God or in some other Native American tribes is considered as the "Great Spirit", this statue could've been used in a ritual or prayer by someone who is trying to get pregnant.

This statue used to belong to an elderly doctor (in Tucson, AZ) who no longer practice medicine. Some of the things that he used to collect were Native American items.

Material: I'm not sure what this material is. It is heavy. Bone-color. It could be some sort of bone (OX?). Appears natural in composition but I'm not sure. It is heavy. Like I said, this is just a one-piece statue of a Bald Eagle with her unborn eaglet revealed (inside of her).

Measurement: 5 inches tall x 4 inches across.
